Maybe you noticed the new page „goal setting“, i created it about 2 or 3 weeks ago, and i now realize that my plans on how many books i want to finish soon… are not very good.
I’m reading a book of Leo Babauta (yes, the minimalism guy) at the moment, and he explains: to manage to reach your goals, you should focus on one thing at a time, putting all other „todos“ aside…
But often people are not sure which one of their todos or goals is most important… so they try to do all things at a time, managing allmost none.
Here, what my „books i want to finish“ section was looking like:
Now… what is the main thing?! My biggest goal at the moment is to become strong at L&D and tesuji but in order to study „tesuji“ i feel it is good to first to become good (or at least „better“) at L&D.
As BengoZen on his blog was pointing out recently, maybe it is better to study tesuji to become stronger, but while i have serious weaknesses regarding to L&D i think it would be like „building a house of sand“ if i focus on tesuji now.
So… i will focus on „Life and Death“ by Davies and will set a new goal when i finished that book.
